For those who are interested in collecting physical gold, there are different options available. Whereas physical coins are one option, the physical gold bars should not be overlooked either. Different options and denominations exist, catering to casual and major investors alike.

Perth Mint Gold Bars

Most gold bugs will know Perth Mint as a manufacturer of some of the most beautiful gold coins in the world. To cater to all kinds of collectors, the company also sells physical bars. Every bar is 99.99% pure gold and comes with the LBMA-trusted hallmark. Bars will also have unique serial numbers to confirm their weight and quality.

Interested parties have different options to choose from. Its bars can range from 1 gram up to 50gram. The more weight, the higher the price will go. Similar to physical coins, gold bars tend to retain their value over time quite well. It also makes for a great collection piece.

Umicore Gold Bars

Although the name Umicore may not ring a bell, this company specializes in recycling valuable metals from electronic waste and other industries. Established in 1989, Umicore has gone into the market of offering physical gold bars to investors and collectors all over the world. Bars can range anywhere 1 gram all the way to 1 kilogram.

For those with a bigger wallet, owning a 1kg gold bar may prove worthwhile. All bars, regardless of denomination, are 99.99% pure gold. While not everyone has 51,000 GP to toss around, buying the 1 ounce gold bar works just as well. Giving customers options is always a good thing.

Emirates Gold Bars

Whenever someone says “Emirates”, people often think of the wealth and luxury found in countries such as the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and so forth. Emirates Gold, located in Dubai, has been around for nearly three decades. The company processes over 150 tons of gold annually, and is the top gold refinery in the Arabic region.

Ermirates Gold knows all too well how many people want to own a gold bar. Its bars range from 2.5 grams to 1 ounce, and come with their own certification. As is the standard everywhere, bars are made of 99.99% pure gold. For smaller investors, this may be the brand to watch. Its products are more than affordable.

Metalor Gold Bars

When it comes to dealing with one of the world’s leading refiners of gold, Metalor is the company to keep an eye on. Founded in 1852, it is one of the oldest companies in the industry, with an exceptional reputation. Its collectible products are found all over the world, and come in denominations ranging from 5 grams to 1 kilogram.

There is no “best” bar made by this company, although the 100 gram variant is rather popular. Considering how such a bar still costs over 5,100 GBP at current prices, it is quite the steep investment. That said, Metalor has a little bit of everything for everyone.

PAMP Suisse Gold Bars

The final company on the list is based out of Switzerland. Established nearly 45 years ago, PAMP Suisse has become a staple in the industry. Its modern and high-tech gold refinery has received a lot of praise and continues to set the standard for other refineries around the world.

For people interested in these bars, PAMP Suisse primarily sells them as Certicards. This is a slightly different format to “hold” the bars, which are all made of 99.99% pure gold. Ranging from 1 gram to 100 grams, PAMP Suisse has the widest selection of different bars, models, and artwork. For collectors, any of these options will be a great addition.
